The Marbled Godwit is an impressively large, strikingly long-billed, mainly cinnamon–brown inhabitant of open districts in the middle of the continent, favoring wet habitats. Audubon's climate model projects a 100 percent loss of current summer range by 2080. The wintering grounds may expand considerably, with southern Arizona and inland California in particular opening up to non-breeding Marbled Godwits, as long as water resources are available.
